Reader Input:
from S. Langford, Huntsville, AL

If you have not already, you may want to offer an article on
“An Amateurs Guide to Winterizing Your Boat”.  I had to figure
out how to do that last year and even the websites you could
find were rather cryptic or far too technical.

click here for suggestions on Winterization
from Mr. Langford!  Thanks for sending them!

Honeycomb Campground Day Use Area Opens
GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. – TVA will open the Honeycomb Campground Day Use Area to the public daily Oct. 4 - Nov. 17.
The day use area offers a picnic area with grills, swimming, fishing access and restroom facilities and is open from dawn to dusk.  The area is universally accessible, and parking is available. The campground remains closed, and no overnight camping is allowed in the day use area. TVA has issued a request for proposals to make improvements and operate and maintain the campground.  The campground will reopen once an operator is selected and improvements to campground are completed.  No date for reopening the campground has been set.

TVA is the nation’s largest public power provider and is completely self-financing.  TVA provides power to large industries and 159 power distributors that serve approximately 8.8 million consumers in seven southeastern states.  TVA also manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries to provide multiple benefits, including flood damage reduction, navigation, water quality and recreation.
